It has been said that I was born with a needle in my hand and I really can''t ever remember not being able to sew or make whatever I desired, be it for my Sindy doll or myself in one way or another.  I''''d just like to think that I have got better, with the help of a few good mentors.  i.e my needlework teacher Mrs Sanders and Charlie Smith who taught me the fine art of tailoring.

 

I fell into making soft furnishings because of my desire for interior design and while my children were growing up I practiced constantly on my house and any other persons if they''d let me.  This lead to a job in the trade and after 2 years I started Bespoke Curtains.  17 years later I feel I''''ve accomplished many ambitions and have worked with many prestigious interior designers here in Essex, London and Sussex.

 

One last ambition is to share my knowledge and while I mainly concentrate on teaching soft furnishings, I have teamed up with other like minded professionals to provide a wider spectrum of sewing classes.
